Casual Receptionist (approx. 12 + hours per week)

The role

The position provides general reception and administration support to the Administration team, Director and other professionals in the practice.

The blend of responsibilities include:

  • Support reception operations by effectively assisting clients with enquires in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Assist with answering telephone calls and scheduling appointments using the patient management software (Clinko) 

  • Process client payments and assist with banking as required.

  • Provide word processing support as required. 

  • Maintain a clean and tidy practice, including reception, waiting area and toilets.

  • Provide excellent customer service to clients at all times.

  • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with the Director, admin team and other staff to ensure a productive team environment. 

About you

The successful candidate must have:​

  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience in a customer service position

  • An exceptional eye for detail, excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Willingness to contribute to the supportive and cohesive workplace culture

Exercise Scientist / Personal Trainer (approx. 8-10 + hours per week)

 

The role

The position provides an experienced Exercise Scientist or Personal Trainer the opportunity to manage a caseload of established clients. The role requires someone dedicated to helping clients achieve their health objectives, aiming to improve overall fitness and health through education, treatment and prescription of exercise programs. There is potential to increase hours and broaden the scope of the services and programs offered, for example, specialised programs for clients with Osteoporosis.

 

The blend of responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assessing, designing and delivering exercise programs based on individual needs.

  • Conducting private consultations to assess client’s medical and injury history, health, fitness and lifestyle goals.

  • Developing personalised strength and conditioning sessions (45 or 60 min) with a max. of  3 clients per class for purposes of injury prevention, injury rehabilitation or recovery strategies.

  • Utilisation of a variety of fitness machines and strength equipment.

  • Cater for clients with a diverse range of conditions, including injuries arising from sporting activities, occupational pursuits and general activities of daily living.

  • Collaborate with other health professionals in the practice (Sports physiotherapists, physiotherapists and Pilates Instructors) to maximise client support.

 

About you

The successful candidate must have:

  • Accreditation as an Exercise Scientist or Personal Trainer

  • Minimum of 1-2 years experience

  • Current CPR and First Aid certificate

  • Registration and professional indemnity insurance

  • Skill base to manage various injuries, conditions and complaints

  • Pilates experience is an advantage but not essential

  • An exceptional eye for detail, excellent communication and customer service skills and a drive to pursue all opportunities for professional development

  • A clear and committed health and wellness vision

  • Willingness to contribute to the supportive and cohesive workplace culture

  • Availability to work on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
