As an Allied Health practice InSync remains open but it's not business as usual in Melbourne's COVID-19 stage 4 lockdown.
Effective Thursday 6th August Stage 4 restrictions will be re-introduced into business practices. With the COVID-19 lockdown stage 4 restrictions, in Melbourne, InSync can open under strict guidelines from the Victorian Government and DHHS. The directions we have been given, as an Allied Health practice, means we can open but not operate with a ‘business as usual’ mentality, therefore routine treatment is not permitted.
The Australian Physiotherapy Association writes “Face-to-face care of patients must only occur if the absence or delay of such care would result in a significant change or deterioration in the patient’s functional independence that would necessitate an escalation of care”.
InSync’s incredible physiotherapy team have been working tirelessly throughout the week going through their client lists to work out the best plan of action for each client. They have taken each individual’s history and treatment plan into careful consideration to work out whether face-to-face appointments are essential over the next five weeks.
If face-face appointments are not an option for your continued hands on care we strongly encourage the use of our Telehealth and online services for all of InSync's modalities. The feedback from clients who used our Telehealth services last lockdown have been extremely positive.
During this period of lockdown we appreciate the importance of maintaining great physical and mental health and we are here to assist by providing our clinical expertise as well as a warm smile and an opportunity to ask you how you are.
You can continue to travel to obtain health or medical services when seeking medical care, including outside your 5km restriction zone.
Your InSync appointment confirmation text message can be used to verify your movements if needed.
We continue to strictly adhere to government advice and good hygiene and infection control practices.
Our operating hours will be temporarily changed to ensure staff and clients can be safely home by 8pm and respect the curfew guidelines.
Telehealth appoints will continue to be offered as an alternative to onsite visits.
Please ensure you are familiar with the practice's COVID hygiene and safety policies, featured on our website, and continue to monitor for COVID symptoms prior to visiting.
